Our Story, How It All Started...
Grace Nation Church of Atlanta International was officially organized May 6th, 2002 in the home of Pastor and Sister Lynnon Chappell. Pastor Chappell sensing the presence of God to establish this church solicited the support of key individuals who had his heart, passion, and love for God and mankind. Together they met visualizing the kind of ministry that would be pleasing to God.
As the leadership team met, Pastor Chappell revealed the name God had given for the church along with the scripture reference to support the name. 2 Corinthians 12:9 "My Grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness; therefore I will boast about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." Realizing that they had nothing to start with, no building, no members, and no money, God's grace has proven to be more than enough.
The much anticipated debut of the church was May 22nd at the Cobb Conference Center. Pastor Chappell and the leadership team had no idea of what to expect, of course there were anxious moments. Through much prayer and hard work as Pastor arrived there were people waiting to get into the Conference Center, and the meeting place quickly filled to capacity. Pastor and the leadership team sprung into action with prayer and a song of praise. Next, was to share the name of the church Grace Community Baptist Church.
The first public worship service was held June 2nd, 2002 at the Cobb Conference Center. During the service the spirit of God moved as Pastor shared the topic "What is your temperature?" After the message 57 people joined the ministry of Grace Community Baptist Church.

Expanding the vision...
After the service, Pastor Chappell and Brother Walker led the congregation to view the present facility. The former retail space for the Decorating Mart, over 16,000 total square feet. The members quickly got excited and work endlessly preparing the place for Sunday worship. Donations came from unexpected sources. During clean up a gentleman walked in with a envelope and gave it to Pastor and walked away. As he opened the envelope there was $300.00 for the ministry. Due to the sale of this property, Grace temporarily worshipped in the Chapel at Piedmont Baptist Church. Grace continued to believe and trust God as property was acquired to build a permanent home.
On July 29, 2004 Grace closed on the new property. Groundbreaking service for the new facility was held on February 27, 2005. PRAISE GOD! The first Worship at the new permanent facility, 3737 Stilesboro Road – Kennesaw, GA was held July 16, 2006. GLORY HALLELUIAH!
Again God moved a name change to match the message of the work, "A local imprint, with the Global Impact,' to GRACE NATION CHURCH OF ATLANTA INTERNATIONAL.

Where we are headed...
As the ministry continues to grow, God is truly faithful to His Word. As we hit the reset button as culture demands. Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. Our focus is on community building the family dynamics. Establishing healthy lifestyles including spiritually, physically, mentally, financially and socially. The concept is that of the "Quattro Blessing", where all the wheels of life are turning simultaneously.
Last, but not least, we are actively in full force with the expansion and building p our new place of worship, 1591 Big Shanty Drive, Kennesaw, GA 30144, which includes a new auditorium featuring an atrium, expanded parking, toddlers and elementary area, as well as a new worship space with expanded seating. We are indeed blessed!
As His-story goes Jesus declares "If I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me," membership has continued to grow spiritually and physically and God continues to prove Himself faithful to the church at Grace.
The best is still yet to come and the history of Grace continues to develop, as we strive to build a better community, better individuals, and better families.
